It’s great when people with power do something that makes sense. I have never been a big fan of Oprah’s book club choices. Not my style. She calls her choices “uplifting” and I call that “boring”…

I’ve read a few of Oprah’s book club picks (not because she picked them; mostly coincidence), and I’m not sure I’d use the word ‘uplifting’ to describe them. More like melancholy or troubling. The Road left me quite depressed. I think it’s an interesting choice.
