Can’t Sleep

I have to wait two more weeks to learn my fate.

I put a video entry in to a contest for a season pass at all the Utah resorts. It was hard to do, and harder to watch. As I mentioned Friday, it was nuts to see myself ‘acting’. I tried to be cute, funny, charming, and all I came out with was nerdy. It was nerve-racking!

It’s also hard to wonder what the people in charge think. Or think about what I could have done better, or differently. But we had a great time, knnocked it out, and I have to say MH made me look good! At least that whole deal was good.

My First Time

Reality check. Tell you more Monday.

Five Embarrassing Thoughts After Seeing Yourself ‘Acting’:

  1. You can’t act. It’s just you being you.
  2. How do they do it?
  3. You are a goober.
  4. Where on earth did those facial movements come from?
  5. Do I really sound like that?!??!

We’ve Got A Fireplace

Buying a house with three fireplaces doesn’t often lead to a house with NO fireplaces, but in our case, there was nothing we could do. Finally, in the middle of August, we decided to go ahead and order the living room a nice one. It got put in today. They guys from Alpine Gas Fireplaces did an amazing  job, and husband was a good little helper too. ;)

Voila:

We’ve got the walls done, and the fire done, and are going to rock it in ourselves and build a mantle.

Help me pick what shade of rock to buy!

Feels Done

Even though we’re not remotely close, actually getting the walls all painted makes the room start to feel liveable again. It’s so green it’s a little obnoxious, but this is how I’m spinning it: this is where you wait before you go ski, like how famous people wait before the go on talk shows. It’s our green room. *giggle*

Certainly the furniture and decorations will help balance it out too. Fireplace comes in tomorrow! Waiting for doors and windows to arrive before we trim the new pass through window. Not sure how exactly we want it! Suggestions?

Nervous About Weirdos

So, we are trying to sell our little hot tub that came with the house. We cleaned it, moved it, bought a new filter, power washed it, cleaned it again, and shocked it. It’s all cute and working. Almost makes me want to keep it. But that wasn’t the hard part for me. The hard part was posting it on craigslist.

I’ve heard a horror story or two from everyone I know. Their account gets hacked, or someone chops up their body in to little pieces…I mean, it’s just sketchy. So of course, fame name/unused email/carefully loading the browser/tough password are all things you can try to protect yourself with, but I’m still terrified.

I don’t want to get any answers. I want someone to wire me the money and then get the hot tub while I’m gone and have it not even be from my house so they don’t come back. I’ll have strong neighbors come by so that they will be intimidated by all the big beefy men and not try any funny stuff.

I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep until it’s over. And I delete my account. And give my laptop a detox bath.

Skeeeeezie.

Please reassure me this won’t happen to me!

Cool Mountain Air

In my house it is now on rotate! Finally, we got the ceilling fan put up in the master bedroom. I took this picture before I painted because I was so excited to share!

How freaking cool is this? It has retractable blades. This equals no dusting, no fan when you don’t need a fan! The light is gorgeous and the fan throws the air really well.

Ta Da!
