Would you believe that we’ve almost owned this place a year? It seems like we’ve done so much, and at the same time it feels like we’ve done nothing. After FIL left, the process got a little confounded, when we realized things needed to be done in some kind of order. And that lots of things on sale needed to be bought. That lead to all of a sudden 30 projects at once. But MK got to work, and we have ALL NEW windows and ALL NEW interior doors on order. Can’t wait! Really going to make the place look good.
Here are pictures of us getting to work that last week – lots of wall work, and a few of him messing with the windows. Honestly, taking out windows teaches you two things: you wish they weren’t even necessary (house looks so cool without them!) and that your house is made of sticks. 2x4s and drywall. Whether it’s a mansion or a shack, the structure is similar and it’s a wonder to me you can’t just huff, puff, and blow the place down!

That front window is going to look amazing!!! I love that you can see all the way through to the back yard now. But… what’s covering the enormous window openings until the new ones are installed?

The windows are still there.
