21 Day Challenge

I started the Yoga Journal 21 Day Challenge today!

http://21daychallenge.yogajournal.com/

It’s not too late, you could sign up too -and it looks like the website is going to have a week’s worth of info up. I’ve had a couple of the magazines and really enjoyed them. After skiing, it’s next to impossible for me to want to get up and go back out to the gym, so I haven’t kept up with my practice since skiing started. I’m hoping this cool resource and FREE videos that I can do at home will get me back on track!

If you talk to MK tell him I’d love a magazine subscription for my birthday…

In The News

The place I call home has been all over the news lately. We expect little LA Time blurbs right around Sundance Festival time, but I keep getting sent these links to some really amazing articles suggesting Park City as a prime vacation spot.

NYTimes – 41 Place to go in 2011 – #9!

MSNBC – Top 10 Ski Destinations – #1!

Luxury Travel Magazine – Close to Home – #10!

So cool! Maybe 100 more of these and my property value will go up…

Gotta Keep It Going

Happens every time. Thanks for coming back again and again.

Five Reasons I Revive This Blog Every Time It’s On The Brink Of Death:

  1. Show off my mad house stuff skills.
  2. I might be the last person on the internet that can spell.
  3. Momm asks for pictures.
  4. I get all worked up about something and need to rant.
  5. Momm asks for pictures.

One Done

Seriously, TA DA.

The one on the left is a perfect before, the one on the right, first door in the house 100% complete, painted, trimmed, rehung. And gorgeous. Agreed?

We Are Good

Here’s another thing it turns out we rock at:

painting doors!

I’ve been dreading this since we bought the things – we hung them and they looked nice since they were primed, but obviously needed to be painted:

Everyone tells you it’s horrible – the cutouts make it super hard to get it just right. But I got a great roller and brush, and rocked it. It’s a tricky thing with speed – in between super careful slow and super adeptly quick.

You can’t probably tell the difference between the before and after pics, and it’s only one coat and I’ll be doing another. But I rule.

Each time we take off a door, MK is caulking all the trim and joining it to the door jamb so I can paint that too. It is starting to look GOOOOOOD around here.

I won’t mind house stuff in the new year if it all goes this well.

But it won’t.

Snow-My-Goodness

Momm thinks it is really funny that bad snow year for us means a year it doesn’t snow enough. Last year (09-10 season) wasn’t that great of a snow year. This year has been crazy. Good snow. Lots of snow.

I haven’t had time to stop and tell you about our holidays since our holidays were so snowy we skied, cleared snow, and slept. It was insane. It’s still everywhere. The mountains are amazing. I couldn’t have picked a better year to go out on a limb, enter, and win a contest where I ski for free all over. I mean, wow.

Every run I take is better than the last. I keep saying best day ever, and it is. Then I have another one. And it’s the best.

To catch you up, here’s 50 pictures of snow, our house, MK clearing snow, and more snow.

As a reminder if you want to see about all things skiing that I’ve written for Ski Utah you can look here.
